3 Job Fairs You Should Visit If You’re a Graduate of Medical Assistant Schools in Austin TX

Graduates of medical assistant schools in Austin TX are in luck this year — there are three great job fairs coming to the city where you can connect with prospective employers from a variety of companies. Each one is held on a different day of the week and at a different time of day, so plan your schedule to attend at least one.

Coast-to-Coast Career Fairs
Tuesday, August 18 from 11 AM to 2 PM Holiday Inn Austin Midtown, 6000 Middle Fiskville Road. At the Coast-to-Coast Career Fair in Austin, you can meet recruiters from numerous organizations. By asking questions to find out if you would be a good fit before you apply, you minimize time wasted from applying for unsuitable jobs.

The organizers recommend you come prepared with a 30-second introduction to stand out from the hundreds of other candidates. Your presentation should include your name, career status, the position you are seeking, and the reason you are interested in the company. (By registering, you can see the full list of companies for your research.)

HireLive
Wednesday, June 03, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 01:00 PM Holiday Inn Austin Midtown 6000 Middle Fiskville Road. The Austin Job Fair organized by HireLive is your chance to meet hiring managers from local and national companies in the health care industry. Register to attend for free, and make sure you come armed with at least 15 resumes.

Capital Factory
Monday, August 24 from 6 PM to 9 PM Capital Factory, 701 Brazos Street, 16th Floor The Looking Forward to Fall Job Fair brings together hiring Capital Factory startups, all of which are run by entrepreneurs. This event opens the path to employment and internships in some of the most innovative areas of health care. Try to arrive before 6:30 PM to speak with as many employers as possible.

Although this job fair is much more informal than the other two, it’s no excuse to come unprepared: make sure you arrive dressed to impress, ready with your questions, and keep an open mind — you may be surprised about where great opportunities lie. You can improve your chances of employment by earning a medical assistant certification, such as the Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA), Certified EKG Technician (CET), Electronic Health Records Specialist (EHRS), Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT), or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Enroll in one of the top medical assistant schools in Austin TX to receive all the training and hands-on practice you need for success at your next job fair.

“When my youngest child graduated from high school, I told my husband that it was my time. I went back to school to change careers after spending 37 years in the business field. At SCI, the instructors are professional, and they care about what they are teaching you, as well as expect you to give 100% in return. I had problems understanding how to draw in syringes and give injections. I requested extra help from a knowledgeable instructor, and I was able to receive one-on-one training. Today, I draw injections for approximately 100 patients each week. I am very confident in what I’ve learned. SCI has given me the chance to do what I always wanted to do. Thank you for my education. I am doing wonderful.”
