Pharmacy technicians assist in filling prescriptions, mixing compounds, updating medication inventory, and maintaining FDA Drug Safety Rules and Regulation. Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT)*
Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE®)

*ExCPT or PTCE® exam fee included in tuition if taken within three months of program completion. Study materials for the ExCPT are provided with the Pharmacy Technician program. Study materials for the PTCE exam are not provided.
Take Your Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam- On Us!
When taken within three months of completing the program, SCI will pay for graduates to sit for the Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT) through the National Healthcareer Association® (NHA) or the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam®(PTCE) through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board® (PTCB).* Passing an approved pharmacy technician exam allows you to register as a Texas State Board of Pharmacy certified technician to help you secure a pharmacy technician job in Texas.
