What does an administrative assistant do?

Administrative assistants play a vital role in any business, and they tend to be one of the first people you see in an office. They may work in private businesses, governments, schools, and in the legal, medical, and health care industries. Administrative assistants perform a variety of roles including: 

  • Preparing documents and memos
  • Organizing files,

Administrative Assistant Licenses and Certifications

Although a license or certification is not legally required to become an administrative assistants, you can obtain certification to indicate your competency and proficiency to employers.
