You have not experienced all that the great state has to offer until you have seen a Corpus Christi beach. In case you forgot that Texas is a coastal state, South Texans and tourists alike enjoy their share of surf and sand and Corpus Christi does not disappoint. In addition to the Corpus Christi beach, the “Sparkling City by the Sea” offers a host of great places to eat, drink, play and … bird watch. That’s right, Corpus Christi has won “America’s Birdiest City” for ten years running (Audubon Outdoor Club)!
In addition to over 300 species of birds, it is also the home of many incredible, family friendly residents that treat you like one of their own. This was evident during Hurricane Harvey of 2017, when relief efforts brought the SCI community and neighboring cities together to share supplies, food and shelter. Since then, the city and its surrounding neighborhoods have recovered rapidly, and are expanding too. If you are simply visiting or looking to move, Corpus Christi has an overwhelming number of attractions. Thankfully, we were able to lean on our SCI Corpus Christi staff members to give us their top picks for getting down and around Corpus Christi.
It is a bit of a trek, but the prices on tacos and baked goods can’t be beat!
