BROWNSVILLE, TX / AGILITYPR.NEWS / November 10, 2025 / Southern Careers Institute (SCI) is proud to announce the launch of its new online Pre-Nursing Pathway Courses, offered through the Brownsville Branch Campus as part of SCI’s new School of Nursing.
These online courses are designed to help students complete the core science and general education prerequisites needed to apply for SCI’s Associate of Applied Science in Nursing program—currently offered exclusively at the Brownsville Branch Campus.
The Pre-Nursing Pathway provides a structured and supportive route for aspiring nurses to build a strong foundation in anatomy, physiology, microbiology, and quantitative reasoning. With flexible online learning and guidance from SCI’s knowledgeable instructors, students can gain the preparation needed to pursue their nursing education with confidence.
After completing the Pre-Nursing Pathway courses, students may apply for admission to the Associate of Applied Science in Nursing program. Graduates of the program are trained to work in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, rehabilitation centers, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and home health agencies.
