San Antonio Map & City Guide
If you ask any Texas tourist about what they would find on a San Antonio map, at least one of two things will certainly come to mind. It is certainly hard to forget the Alamo ever since Sam Houston’s battle cry went down in our great state’s history.
The other is the Riverwalk which is well-tread by locals and visitors alike. But any San Antonian will tell you that besides the lovely Riverwalk, there are many places worth strolling in this great city. Home to almost 1.5 million residents, San Antonio is also home to two Southern Careers Institute campuses—affectionately known as ‘SCI North’ and ‘SCI South’, respectively.
As you might imagine in one of the top 3 largest cities in the great state of Texas, San Antonio is comprised by neighborhoods that have their own look and feel. Historically, more infrastructure and investment in business and commerce was put in place in the northside of town, while the South was thought to be more diverse and included rural housing developments and historical relics including the Mission Concepción.
If you are simply visiting or looking to move, San Antonio, is a rapidly changing and expanding city with tons to see, eat and do all over. Thankfully, we leaned on our very own SCI North and South staff members to give us their top picks for getting down and around San Antonio.
