Your Training
Health care is one of the most sought-after services in the United States. As we enter the digital age, the demand for electronic data records has become an essential part of the health care and medical profession. Taking our medical coding and billing training course will allow you to work with these digital health care records and become the essential contact between the patient, the doctor and the insurance company. You will have the opportunity to learn a large number of career skills and many soft (interpersonal) skills. You will have the opportunity to learn all about human anatomy, with classes on the immune, nervous and skeletal systems and human disease treatment, to name only a few. Classes on coding, insurance billing, and payment management will teach you the skills necessary to input, categorize and analyze electronic data systems in order to fulfill insurance payment demands, to both patients and healthcare providers. You will also learn about medical law and ethics in classes focused on professional practices.
After training, your soft skill set will include a range of interpersonal skills like communications, time management, teamwork, and organization. These soft skills will not only be of great benefit to you in your career but also in your day-to-day living.
Your Certification
During your training as a medical coding and billing specialist, you will have to opportunity to gain invaluable certifications that any future employer will want from his or her job candidates. All of these certifications are nationally recognized and authorized by the National Healthcareer Association. Upon completion of your course, you will earn your Certified Billing & Coding Specialist (CBCS) certification. In addition, you will also be given the chance to earn a Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) certification and an Electronic Health Records Specialist (EHRS) certification.
With these certifications, you can significantly increase your job opportunities, your potential earnings, and earn an increased understanding of your own profession. You will also be eligible to earn a Microsoft Word (Certiport authorized) qualification that will further increase your chances for employment and increase your work competence.
