The term “externship” is an amalgamation of the words “experience” and “internship.” It means to experience an internship. An externship is a short, unpaid, and informal internship that runs for a short time, typically one day to a few weeks. It is supposed to give the learner a bit of exposure to the marketplace. At the same time, it allows the company to meet a wide pool of potential new employees over a short time with minimal costs.

An apprenticeship is a training program that allows you to acquire hands-on technical training while earning money. It is best described as work-based training.
