Southern Careers Institute went the extra mile to give back to families in need this holiday season. Click here to find out just what the SCI institute did.
SCI in the Community
Knowing that not everyone can afford to celebrate the holidays, CEO of the SCI institute Jacob M. reached out to four randomly chosen families and filled their homes with holiday cheer. Each family received a Christmas tree decorated by the SCI faculty and staff with ornaments donated by students. They also gathered gifts for families in need and later intend to host a fundraising dinner.
How SCI Can Help You
Our holiday giving doesn’t end there. At SCI, we are offering grants of up to $7,000 for students looking to begin short-term career training. As most programs take less than one year to complete, this is an opportunity to change your life in time to enjoy the holidays in 2016. Our biggest grant is the DREAM Act grant, with which you can receive up to $7,000.
However, we are also offering $4,500 in need-based grants and up to $4,000 with our New Year, New You grant. Applying for a grant is easy. First, fill out an online form.
Then, call 877-222-7509 to make an appointment to meet with an admissions advisor. When you arrive at SCI, you’ll be able to tour the campus, discuss your program options, and talk about financial aid.
How to Use Your Grant You can use grants toward any of the SCI programs, including:
- Administrative assistant
- Business accounting
- Computer specialist
- HVAC technician
- Medical assistant
- Medical billing and coding
- Medical office specialist
- Pharmacy technician
Plus, you can study at any SCI location. We have campuses in Austin, Brownsville, Corpus Christi, Harlingen, Pharr, and San Antonio. We also offer online training for the business accounting specialist and medical billing and coding specialist programs. Combining a Grant with Financial Aid If your grant is insufficient to enable you to pay for your education, additional aid will allow you to attend the SCI institute without worries.
Along with scholarships and veterans’ benefits, we provide students with information and advice to find grants, scholarships, and loans from the federal government and external organizations. The sooner you begin career training, the sooner you can start a new job you enjoy, increase your earnings, and reduce stresses in life. Contact the SCI institute to find out how much you can receive in grants and to start the application process.
