Since its inception in 1960, the Southern Careers Institute has put thousands of students on the path to successful careers. Our instructors will prepare you for skilled jobs in less than a year and at minimal cost. If you’re interested in learning these skills, consider beginning the Southern Career Institute application process, which starts with…

Exploring Our Offerings
The first step in assessing any school is to visit the website and see which courses are available. The Southern Careers Institute makes all information available online, allowing you to easily evaluate our offerings. Specific courses vary by location, but include pharmacy tech, medical billing and coding, commercial welding, and business accounting. If any of these options sounds good to you, the next step is to…

Speak to Admissions
No website can tell you a school’s full story, which is why it’s important to get an Admissions Representative on the phone as soon as possible. Our representatives will explain to you all about the school, adding the human element that the website lacks. They’ll put you in contact with former students, instructors, and others who can tell you about the Institute from the inside. If you like what you hear, the next step in the Southern Career Institute application process is to…

Schedule a Tour
Never underestimate the role of ambiance in making or breaking a school. If you study at a college with good weather, beautiful scenery, and intriguing architecture, you’ll have a sense of pride in your school and will be able to study and focus more easily. The Southern Careers Institute is happy to provide tours of all of our campuses. You need only make an appointment ahead of time, which you can do online or over the phone. If the tour leaves little to be desired, it’s time to consider…

Financial Aid
However beautiful and prestigious a school is, it won’t do you any good if you can’t afford to go there. Luckily, the Southern Careers Institute provides a wide range of options to help you pay for your education, and financial aid is a crucial part of the Southern Career Institute application process. We accept a wide variety of Federal and private payment tools, including the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan Program, Federal Pell Grants, and the Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant; we provide a matching scholarship for all FSEOG recipients. We are proud to serve our veterans, and accept payments from the Montgomery GI Bill®, the Post 9/11 Bill, the Reserve Educational Assistance Program, and a wide range of other military benefits.

Student Services
The final part of the Southern Career Institute application process is to contact Student Services and tell them you wish to apply. They will provide you with the official Southern Career Institute application, answer any questions you have about applying, and keep you updated while the application is being processed. Once you’ve been accepted, Student Services can explain to you what you need to do to prepare for being a student. If you are also accepted to other schools at the same time, Student Services will explain what sets the Southern Careers Institute apart. Applying to a school is important, but it pales in comparison to choosing a major. From medical billing and coding to pharmacy tech to business accounting, there are many promising career paths. Make sure to pick the one that’s right for you. For more information on choosing the right path, contact the Southern Careers Institute today.
